First Keynote Speaker Wayne Lewchuk, School of Labour Studies, McMaster University Wayne Lewchuk is author of the book Working Without Commitments: Precarious Employment and Health published by McGill Queen’s University Press. Lewchuk will talk about how data can be both a friend of those looking to protect the health of workers and an enemy. He will touch on how we design valid data collection methodologies and how we judge whether what we find is meaningful.

Second Keynote Speaker Karen Messing, Département des sciences biologiques, Université du Québec à Montréal Karen Messing is author of the book Pain and Prejudice: What Science Can Learn About Work from the People Who Do It published by Between the Line. Messing is an ergonomist and biologist who has been doing research on worker health for almost 40 years
