Read Between the Lines! Between the Lines has been publishing informative non-fiction that challenges the mainstream since 1977. Get a taste of BTL’s work in this session with three BTL authors addressing race in Canadian history, the struggle for critical sciences and the fight around the Tar Sands.

Featuring Michael Riordon with “Bold Scientists: Dispatches from the Battle for Honest Science,” Stephen D’Arcy, co-editor of “A Line in the Tar Sands: Struggles for Environmental Justice” and David Austin with “Fear of a Black Nation: Race, Sex, and Security in Sixties Montreal.”

Moderator: Jonathan Barker, author of a number of titles including “Street Level Democracy” and the “No-Nonsense Guide to Global Terrorism.”
