A Rebellious History: Lessons for Nogojiwanong / Peterborough from Toronto’s Poor

Everyone is welcome at the Legal Centre’s Annual General Meeting. Trent Professor Bryan Palmer, local historian of the working-class, will present his new book, co-authored with anti-poverty activist Gaétan Héroux. Toronto’s Poor reveals the long history of poor people’s resistance. It details how poor people have struggled to survive through the many recessions and other crises from the 1830s to the present with lessons for Peterborough.
